Leadership and Development Programme – Royal Audit Authority, Bhutan
The five day program on Leadership & Development Programme was organised by IMT Hyderabad on 19-23, February 2018 at MDP Room, IMT Hyderabad. This MDP received a total of 13 nominations from the Royal Audit Authority (RAA), Bhutan.
The objective of the programme was to provide a thorough introduction to the idea of Emotional Intelligence for enhancing efficiency in Leadership skills.
On Day 1
Shri Manas Ranjan Mohanty, GM, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) inaugurated the Programme by highlighting the importance of Leadership development and emphasised on the use of Emotional Intelligence n enhancing the same in our professional lives.
Prof (Dr) Ballvada Pavan Kumar, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, embarked the session with the introduction to Capturing Expectations and Introduction to Effective Leadership, theme for the interpersonal and professional communication amongst individuals and groups.
Prof (Dr). Shabnam Priyadarshini guided the participants for the Emotional IQ test in the Analytics laboratory in the campus and gave all of them an insight of their personalities by the scores attained by them.
Post the test and the assessment thereafter, a session was dedicated on ‘Woking with different personality Types’ by Prof. Priyadarshini.
Prof (Dr) Tulika Sharma, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, covered the session on ‘Listening to Understand’ and threw light on how understanding fellow colleagues or individuals improve our relationships with our peers in the long run.
On day 2
Prof (Dr) Balivada Pavan Kumar, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad begun his session on ‘Personal side of Leadership’, in the organisation with the illustrations of Johari window and other tools on Interpersonal relationships.
Prof Dhananjay Singh, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, conducted a session on Self – Management, by emphasising on the time – management skills and how that can lead us to a higher level of performance and self – satisfaction.
Prof (Dr). Romina Mathew, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, conducted session on Negotiation- Introduction, Strategies and Process, supported with Case – Studies and other instances.
On day 3
Prof (Dr). Romina Mathew, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, begun the session by introducing Negotiation and influencing skills and ended her session on Negotiation by giving an insight about the Psychology of decisions and Behavioural perspective in negotiations.
Prof (Dr). Shabnam Priyadarshini guided the participants through an assessment test for Emotional Intelligence.
Prof (Dr). Balivada Pavan Kumar started his session by introducing the concept of Emotional Intelligence to the participants and it’s efficacy in managing super competitive teams.
On day 4
Prof Dhananjay Singh, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, started his session for the day with ‘Managing Diversity’ and shared the nitty-gritties of managing different people with different thought process.
Prof (Dr) Balivada Pavan Kumar, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, conducted a session on Leadership traits and styles, with several activities and illustrations.
Prof Dhananjay Singh, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, deliberated on Managing High Performance Teams to close the fourth day
On day 5
Prof (Dr) Balivada Pavan Kumar, Faculty, IMT Hyderabad, started the day with his deliberation on Managing Conflict in workspace and in personal lives.
Post the morning tea break, all the resource persons conducted one on one feedback sessions, for all the 13 participants individually.
During Valedictory session, Director, IMT Hyderabad, addressed the session by his valuable thoughts and distributed the participation certificates to all the participants, thereby concluding the MDP.
