Hyderabad, 18th January- IMT Hyderabad and Wipro Limited signed an MoU to jointly design and deliver the proposed PGDM program in IT. This program aims to create future business leaders who have a domain experience as well as functional expertise to work in the IT industry. By signing this MoU, both the partners intend to create a talent pool which is industry ready and geared up for the challenges in the IT industry.
Dr. K. Sriharsha Reddy, Director, and Professor, IMT Hyderabad, expressed admiration to Wipro for sharing the same vision as IMT Hyderabad and announced the launch of the upcoming program, PGDM IT, entirely supported by corporate partners. He discussed the trend of sustainability, hygiene, and digitization. Also, he stated that the service sector accounts for 60% of the Indian economy and that Hyderabad is a national leader in the fields of information technology, e-commerce, and healthcare. He sincerely thanked Wipro for supporting the college in launching a new PGDM program.
Mr. Rahul Bhattacharyya, Head- Campus Hiring, Wipro Limited, in his address to the students talked about five habits that Wipro leaders always abide by. He talked about respecting all the individuals like colleagues, customers, clients, and subordinates. He conveyed the importance of responsiveness and in addition stated that one should put the organization's interest before their interest to demonstrate stewardship.
Mr. Sudip Guha, Oracle Practise Head at Wipro Limited, spoke about the significance of teamwork as, according to him, it brings success to customers and the service provider. He suggested that the students be updated with the certifications required in their corporate journey. He expressed the need to be patient and flexible, which will eventually make everything fall into place. The ceremony moved ahead with the round of questions and answers to the Wipro team by the students of IMT Hyderabad. Prof. (Dr) K Vinay Kumar and Prof. (Dr) Surajit Ghosh Dastidar also expressed their gratitude to the Wipro team for partnering with IMT Hyderabad.
The vote of thanks was presented to all the guests by Mr. Prakash Pathak, Head of Corporate Relations. He called it a landmark event because IMT Hyderabad, one of the leading B-schools of the country, and Wipro Limited, one of the market leaders of the IT sector, moved from working together to collaborating for building something new together.
