IMT Hyderabad, 23rd June 2025: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, had the honor of hosting Professor Stephane Mechoulan, Associate Professor at Dalhousie University, Canada, for an engaging session on “The evolving technological landscape and the importance of staying actively engaged.” The session was organised as part of Abhyuday, the Management Orientation Programme for the PGDM Batch of 2025–2027.
Professor Mechoulan opened the session by acknowledging the diversity of the incoming cohort, highlighting it as a strength that enables meaningful collaborations. Reflecting on his own journey through economics and law, he stressed that career paths are often non-linear and filled with valuable learning experiences.
He discussed the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and the importance of adaptability in a dynamic world. Emphasising that resilience and curiosity are key to success, he encouraged students to go beyond the classroom and embrace uncertainty with an open mind. “Stay curious when confused. Stay engaged even when things don’t go as planned,” he advised.
The session inspired students to pursue learning with purpose and reminded them that human values, judgment, and ethics remain irreplaceable despite technological advances.
Professor Mechoulan was felicitated with a token of appreciation by Prof (Dr) Steven Raj, PGP Chairperson. IMT Hyderabad expresses its gratitude to all faculty members for their efforts in making the session a valuable part of Abhyuday 2025.
