Net Zero Summit - 2023
The inaugural Net Zero Summit will take place on August 19th at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, in association with GEAR India. This summit is in response to the urgent need for group action to combat the fast rising global temperatures, which are in grave danger of unleashing catastrophic events. Deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions are the main offenders. The conference intends to advance the idea of Net Zero, which, in contrast to carbon neutrality, achieves zero emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Experts from the healthcare, pharmaceutical, retail & e-commerce sectors will speak at the event and share their initiatives and lessons learnt along the path to being Net Zero.
The Net Zero Summit is a part of IMT Hyderabad's dedication to provide its students a comprehensive educational experience that satisfies modern business needs. The summit aims to cross-pollinate effective sustainability practises across industries, draw attention to decision-making challenges businesses face in their Net Zero transition, raise the sustainability awareness of young managers, support India's commitment to becoming Net Zero by 2070, and develop and promote sustainability education and solutions. An important partner in this programme is GEAR India, a pioneer in promoting Zero Emissions in the Material Handling Equipment business across sectors in India. Together, we want to motivate and prepare the next generation of leaders to meet the challenges of the fast-paced global environment and contribute to a sustainable future.
