Hyderabad, September 26th 2018: The day saw a colourful marketplace come alive; as Mercatus Mantra’s flagship event BUZZAAR 2018 unfolded its theme- ‘Culturama’. The main idea behind the theme was to represent India’s diverse culture and the decoration of the event was beautiful and vibrant. BUZAAR 2018 was sponsored by Zaggle, Samosa Express and Waffle & Co. The club also had its very own ‘Buzz’ created before the event on by presenting a flash mob on 24th of September in front of the student community and faculty members to showcase what the team ‘Mercatus Mantra’ has in store for the entire IMT community to cherish, blending the hues of the rich and colorful Indian culture. On the day of the event, budding marketers displayed their skills by placing stalls for selling their own ideas like calligraphy, handmade jewelry, painting, photography, music dedication, various games and craftwork.

Dr. Nitin Gupta inaugurated the event and was there to support the team of Mercatus Mantra. He appreciated the efforts of the management team and applauded them by giving them all the credit. The students who participated got the opportunity to learn the inside knowledge of markets and practicalities of the business. IMT Hyderabad, being a premier b-school believes in giving empirical knowledge which will benefit the students to become more productive.

 The students exchange program (SEP) students from France also visited the event. Victor, a SEP student said “The decoration is very beautiful and the management team is very helpful. I like the idea behind the event and will try to replicate this experience in France too”. The institute is spreading its wings and carving its own niche in the global community.

BUZZAAR 2018 ended with good vibes and huge bucket of indelible memories. Overall, the event was a great success justifying the ultimate goal, i.e. mixing fun with business.
