ABOUT THE CONCLAVE:
Prarambh, the E-Cell of IMT Hyderabad presents Ortus 1.0, an entrepreneurship
conclave in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Class, ‘13
Batch. Ortus is a Latin word meaning sunrise or beginnings, which we think truly
resonates the concept behind this event. At IMT Hyderabad, we aim to provide a
platform for fostering the entrepreneurship spirit among students. To help us in
moving towards that very aim we are organizing an Entrepreneurship Conclave
and have invited successful entrepreneurs to share their life experiences with
students.
The conclave aims at discussing the various aspects of entrepreneurship
including insights on the challenges faced by first time entrepreneurs, creating
a paragon of e-ecosystem for student entrepreneurs and their role in emerging
India.

Altius – The Sports Club of IMT Hyderabad brings to you this three day sports fest on campus. About 150 students from premier B-Schools like IMT Ghaziabad, IMT Nagpur, NMIMS, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, ISB, Great Lakes, BITS Hyderabad, IIT Hyderabad, IBS Hyderabad are slated to participate.
The Sports Fest is titled “The Periodos” which refers to the traditional and prestigious four games that were held in ancient Greece since Sixth Century BC. These 4 games: the Olympic, the Pythian, the Nemean and the Isthmian were described as the “crown games” because of the crown leaves given as a prize to the winners. Periodos will strive to create the same competitive spirit and zeal among participants over the three days. There will also be cultural events (organized by Antragna – the cultural club of IMT Hyderabad) along the sidelines of the sporting extravaganza.
The events planned over the 3 day period include:

Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Hyderabad would organize the "Business Orientation Program 2012", a 2 week long Industry-Academia Interface, from 5th to 19th November, on its campus.
Ten renowned industry experts
including Mr P R Ramesh, Chairman, Deloitte Haskins & Sells;
Mr S Sivakumar, CEO, ITC Agri Business Division; Mr Anjani
Sinha, MD & CEO, National Spot Exchange; Mr Phanindra Sama,
CEO, Redbus would engage the first year management students
at IMT and address them on various sector-specific and broad
based contemporary business issues.
The Program would be a comprehensive platform providing
students a chance to interact with the who’s who of the
business world cutting across sectors as diverse as
commodity markets, financial services and consulting to IT,
analytics and e-commerce.
The program aims to provide the students with an opportunity
to:
- understand and appreciate the ‘big picture’ of
business in the sectors
- evaluate the diverse career opportunities that these
sectors would provide
- acquire insights about the inspirational life

"Free your mind" was the theme of the day long creativity workshop conducted at the IMT Hyderabad campus. The day started with a war game in the courtyard for the whole class.
