Dr. Romina Mathew is currently working as Professor in the area of Human Resource Management. She currently teaches courses on Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Planning and Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Business Negotiation, Creativity and Innovation. She has experience of over a decade in teaching courses in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management in leading B-schools. She has also handled doctoral seminars in the area of HRM for PhD students. Before joining IMT Hyderabad, she was working as an Assistant Professor in Icfai Business School, Hyderabad.

Prior to academics, Dr. Romina worked in an NGO, where she was involved in Women’s Empowerment Project dealing with income generation for rural artisans. She was engaged in formation of self-help groups, craft clusters, preparation of project reports and progress reports, project monitoring & liaison with Govt. agencies and coordination with agencies for selling handicrafts produced by craft cluster artisans.

Romina believes that role of the faculty is to develop ‘competencies’ rather than just imparting ‘concepts’ and focusses more on experiential approaches such as group exercises, games, role-plays, and movies which can help in better student engagement and learning in the classroom.
