  • PGDM (Full Time)
All The Programs are approved by AICTE

Curriculum
The PGDM programs are spread over two academic years. Each year has two semesters of 16 weeks of instruction followed by one week of comprehensive examination. The key aspects of the curriculum are described below:

1. The first year of the study consists of ‘Mandatory Curriculum’ that establishes common foundations in the fundamental practices of business including finance, marketing, leadership, operations, strategy, accounting, economics, data analysis and more.

2. During the intervening summer term between first and second year, the student undertakes a 18 weeks Internship Program (IP). This provides students with opportunities to learn and practice business knowledge and professional behavior.

3. The second year of study consists of ‘Elective Curriculum’ that provides students with opportunities for attaining depth and/or breadth of knowledge in the chosen area(s) of specialization. A student has to take a total of 12 electives totaling to 36 credits to complete the graduating requirements. The electives are categorized as:
  • Specialization Elective Courses (SEC) – These courses provide an opportunity to students to go deep within their areas of specializations. To specialize in any area, a student is required to take a minimum of 5 SEC in the chosen area. Over the two semesters, the students of PGDM (Marketing) can take a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 SEC in Marketing; the students of PGDM (Finance) can take a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 SEC in Marketing; students of PGDM (Full Time) can take a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 10 SEC in any specialization.

  • Integrative Elective Courses (IEC) - These courses go beyond functional focus and help the students to understand how the business fundamentals interrelate. They enable the students to address business problems and solutions by leveraging on the interrelations. Students of the PGDM programs have to take 1 IEC in each of the semesters.

  • Free Elective Courses (FEC) – These are courses that are offered across specialization areas. These give students the freedom to pursue interests and broaden their horizon in areas that may lie outside their area of specialization. Over the two semesters, the students of PGDM (Marketing) can take a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 5 FEC; the students of PGDM (Finance) can take a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 5 FEC; students of PGDM (Full Time) can take a maximum of 10 FEC

  • The students can select the elective courses from the Database of Elective Courses which lists the different specialization, integrative, and free elective courses offered by the institute.

4. In addition to the 12 electives needed to meet the graduation requirements, a student can take 2 Optional Electives, subject to the condition that he/ she maintains a CGPA of 8 or above at the end of first year. The optional electives can be SEC, IEC, or FEC and can be selected from the courses listed in the Database of Elective Courses. The grades obtained in the optional elective will form part of the CGPA, but not part of the graduation requirements.

5. Apart from the classroom based course work, the students are also required to work on a Management Project spread over the two semesters. This facilitates the students to attain a higher level of knowledge and expertise in their chosen field of study in an integrative manner. This also inculcates the art of conducting independent inquiry and evaluation which is useful both in industry and for later academic pursuits.
